Leaders: Adolf Hitler

For this assignment, i chose Adolf Hitler, as i find him a very interesting leader.Although he has very good leadership, this is used in the cause of evil, and this is an irony. More often than normal, people view leaders as noble people who lead great armies and people in the cause of good. However, in Hitler's case, he is viewed in the eyes of the general public as a frightening person and "The incarnation of absolute evil"; Yet, he can be considered as a great leader, banded with the likes of noble people such as Mohandas Gandhi and Winston Churchill.

Why is this so? The most possible reason for this is probably because of his "aura" and charisma, his ability to convince others to have the same desire as him; to turn Germany into a global superpower. Furthermore, he was beloved by his people, and forged strong ties with some powerful people in the world, such as Joseph Stalin, and convinced them such that Stalin had full confidence in Hitler, and did everyting he could do to to maintain good ties with Hitler, such as withdrawing certain Jews, such as Maxim Litvinov, the Soviet Foreign Minister, from the international scene.

However, Hitler used these "powers" for evil, fueled by the venegeance againts Jews with his "Anti-jewish" regime. Imagine if he had used his good character traits in the cause of good. The world would have been a better place. Also, it was his rage and temper that sparked off World War II, Which took the lives of millions of people. Hitler was known for his quick tempers and it was this, of all that led to his evil deeds. This , i feel, is the worst minus-point that Hitler had, as it sparked off many conflicts around the world.

Therefore, I conclude that Hitler had a very scheming personality, as he uses his persuasive skills to rope in all the support he needs - But all this in the cause of evil.
